Policy Position statement on “Digital Platforms and Foreign Interference” by the European Movement International
The European Movement International, with whom the USF has close links, has recently published their Policy Position on “Digital Platforms and Foreign Interference: Safeguarding the EU’s Democratic Integrity” (available here).
It sets out recommendations for the protection of EU institutions and values through measures that combat foreign interference, starting with the full implementation of the Digital Services Act (DSA), the Digital Markets Act (DMA) and the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Act and empower National Digital Services Coordinators (DSCs) across all member states.
In its attention to Civil Society Organisations and to Media Pluralism, there is much here that aligns with the strategic priorities of the EUI.
